Is there life after death?

Many theories have been proposed from the immortal soul to the resurrected body to the reincarnation of the being.

We recognize the disruption that death brings to the ones left behind. But when your last breath ceases to exist and you fall into a quiescent, desiccated state. In that moment do your memories, your experiences, your personality disappear?
